Class Descriptions
Hatha Yoga: is a mind and body class focusing on relaxation through
various poses and breathing techniques while gaining spirituality through
meditation.
Pilates: is an intergrative muscle workout gaining strength and better body
alignment through various challenging poses performed on the mat.
Cardio mix: is a mixture of low impact moves fused with kickboxing and boxing while gaining good cardiovascular endurance for fat burning.
Strength Circuit Express: This co-ed class is packed with power. We will be utilizing all necessary equipment to help you gain strength, balance, agility and speed. In a circuit format we will be focusing on plyometrics, relays, core strength beginning with basic movement. Your muscles will love you as you notice improved performance in body movement as you progress.
Cardio Dance Fusion: This class is for people who want to be mentally challenged while exercising. It is also a great way to let loose after a hard days work and have fun with easy to follow choreography. Routines will be performed on either step, gliders or simply dancing on the floor. Be prepared to move to the beat and learn some fancy footwork. Sweat the fat away.
Weekend Warrior: Not your average workout. This class utilizes unique full body exercises designed to give you long, lean muscles while giving you a kick-butt cardiovascular workout. A sculpting ab session at the end of every class let’s you leave knowing you’ve taken advantage of every minute of your workout. You will be convinced after your first class.
Strength & Stretch: Light resistance training combined with dynamic and passive stretching moves to improve your balance and flexibility
20/20/20:A combination of cardio, weights and abdominal work to help you get fit and stay fit.
Cardio Pump: A low impact, high energy aerobics class using light weights. A fun hour of strengthening your heart and toning your muscles.
Aqua Fit: Is a low impact aerobics session in the pool that can maintain and improve stamina and suppleness as well as increase cardiovascular fitness.
Specialty Classes
Brazilian Jiu Jitsu: a martial art focusing on grappling. It encompasses effective footwork, fighting, clinch, takedowns, throws, escapes, ground control, chokes, and joint locks, which help to mimic real confrontations.
World Top Kickboxing: Sensei Ali Nahrani teaches a combination of muay thai, kyokushin, karate and kickboxing with respect and discipline through self-realization. For junior and senior participants wtkf@telus.net
